Not into the open atmosphere. Into a protected living system engineered for life.
A bee cannot make honey alone. A protected ecosystem must work around it. Plants must grow. Flowers must open. Bees must navigate, pollinate and maintain a colony. Honey would be visible proof that the living chain worked together.
SPACEBEE does not claim that bees can survive on Mars today. The mission is to research and eventually test the protected Earth-like systems that could make this chain possible.TIME MACHINE 69 contains the Earth reference honey and records the collectors who joined before the first Mars habitat existed.

Any future bee mission would depend on a sealed environment that manages temperature, atmosphere, light, water, plants, food and colony health together.
Explore the systems map →The mission is larger than transporting bees. Every dependency must be understood, tested and connected before pollination beyond Earth can become credible.

ACTIVE DESIGN · FUTURE TESTInvestigate how altered gravity changes navigation, flight, comb building and colony behavior.
FUTURE · REQUIRES PARTNERSOperate inside a protected Mars habitat only when the biological and engineering evidence supports it.
LONG-TERM MISSIONSPACEBEE starts on Earth, publishes what exists and separates present proof from future work.

Last public review: 24 August 2026. Images are visual concepts. Mars timing depends on Earth testing, qualified partners and future launch access.
Read the SPACEBEE JournalSPACEBEE will name people and institutions only after roles, review responsibilities and partnerships are formally confirmed.
Publishes mission explainers, status labels and open research questions.
ACTIVENamed profiles will appear only after qualified advisors formally accept a review role.
RECRUITMENT OPENNo organization is presented as a partner until a formal collaboration exists.
QUALIFICATION OPENIf honey is made on Mars, an entire living system has worked.

SPACEBEE begins in Hadhramout, where desert beekeeping and a landscape that feels remarkably Martian give the mission its first reference honey and its authentic place of origin.
